Sonata for Two Pianos in D major

The Sonata for Two Pianos in D major, K. 448 is a piano work composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1781, at the age of 25. The sonata was composed for a performance he gave with fellow pianist Josephine von Aurnhammer. This is one of his only formal compositions for Two Pianos exclusively.

This sonata was also used in the scientific study that tested the theory of the title "Mozart Effect" suggesting that classical music increases brain activity more positively than other kinds of music.

Here is a exceptional performance of the 1st movement by Piano Duo Gerwig & González Christine Gerwig - Germany & Efraín González - Mexico
